Clive Svendsen, Ph.D., executive director of Cedars-Sinai’s Board of Governors Regenerative Medicine Institute, has a long-standing interest in ALS and he was the Sponsor of the first-ever clinical trial delivering stem cells and GDNF to patients that was recently completed at Cedars-Sinai. He will be discussing the trial that he and his team conducted, using a combined cell and gene therapy approach as a treatment for ALS.
