Major League Baseball is officially honoring Lou Gehrig Day at ballparks across the country on June 2 and 3. To commemorate the occasion, please join us for a very special discussion on Wednesday, June 2 from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM CDT with two longtime friends of the Les Turner ALS Foundation: Jonathan Eig, acclaimed New York Times best selling author of ‘Luckiest Man: The Life and Death of Lou Gehrig,’ and Lin Brehmer, renowned Chicago DJ and radio personality, and current host of WXRT’s midday show. During the 30-minute program, Jonathan will discuss what went into writing ‘Luckiest Man,’ who Lou Gehrig was on and off the field, his diagnosis and battle with ALS, and the lasting legacy of the man forever remembered as the “Iron Horse.”
